Today is our last day in Kuching. It has been a very fruitful and productive stay:
- We attended to a fair bit of DIY, with Kim painting the front door and over water leak stains.
- Kim also had a dental scale and polish, and separately a whitening treatment. Together with the heart scan in KL, he saved about NZD850 compared to New Zealand prices. That’s about 75% of the base airfare for the entire trip.
- We had numerous catch-ups with family, extended family and friends.
As Kim hadn’t been to Kuching for a while, we went for walks in the night at the city’s scenic spots, namely the waterfront and the Satok Suspension Bridge.
- View from the apartment.
- State Legislative Assembly & Sarawak River by night.
- State Legislative Assembly & Sarawak River by night.
- Astana, once the residence of the White Rajahs of Borneo.
- Darul Hana Bridge and India Mosque.
- Laser show on the Darul Hana Bridge.
- Satria Pertiwi, office and residence of the Premier.
- Satok Suspension (pedestrian) bridge.
- Kim’s savings for a heart scan and two dental visits while in Malaysia.
