Room with view

I had breakfast with Danny at my Saila hostel again.  I gave his scrambled eggs a miss and stuck to my coffee and fruit.

Since Anya was leaving today, Kristina thought that the room could be free for me.  We met with Jameel, the principal to discuss this.  It was all sorted.  I’d be close to school and friends.

At class today Ameen was a little kinky, I thought.  The Arabic word for “body” is “jism” (جسم).  As I was learning possessives today, I had to learn the first, second, third person forms.  He seemed to get a bit of a thrill from that!

After class, Lou came with me to my Saila room for my move to the school hostel.  My new room turned out to be the room Sami was in when I was less than a year ago.  Kristina was opposite my room, in Aaron’s former room.  In my former room was Natalia, whom I met last night at a Anya’s farewell.  I was back in my happy place!

Natalia and I got on the with the latter straight away like long-lost friends … of course talking non-stop about food, except for when I mock her accent.  We share more-or-less mutually-intelligble languages.  Indonesians roll their “R” heavily and emphasise their consonants such as “K” (amongst other things).  And they speak too fast (but she thinks that of Malaysians).
