Today is our second (of two) full day in Los Angeles. Yesterday, we got a rental car and went to some of the places that Kim likes. He’s here once or twice a month as crew and knows the various places well. We did a little bit of shopping and eating.
But being carless today, we used to hotel shuttle to get to Santa Monica. We walked around the pier. The water in the sea below was rather awful this time. And there were lots of homeless people around too.
We returned to the hotel using their shuttle to rest before having a light lunch and later a light dinner.
Kim’s parents, Pat and Fiona, were arriving from London tonight and coming to the same hotel. We thought it would be nice for us to go to the airport to meet them. So, that involved a third and fourth ride in the hotel shuttle today.
We helped them check into the Furama and had some tea with them at the hotel café. We had some supper at nearby Taco Bell (our second time today) before bed.
