Norfolk Broads

18 October 2003

Today we did an excursion to Norfolk Broads.  It took about 1h15 to reach there from Downham Market and one there, we rented a boat.  Kim did a marvellous job navigating the boat in the canals which were speed-restricted to 5 mph.

We stopped for a cuppa tea at a pub, then ate lunch on the return journey on board the boat.  We managed to time our tripping around well, returning the boat to base 3h later, as per our original rental period.

After a rest back at the house, we went to Desmond and Richard’s house for drinks.  They had invited us, Mike and sis to come along.  Pat and Fiona were already staying there.

We had dinner at the Foldgate Inn on the way back afterwards.
