There are two ferries from Waisai to Sorong today, at 0900 (Mon and Wed) and also 1400 (daily). I woke up and went to the ferry at 0800 and was amongst the first to get the ticket.
We left about 0930 with lots of empty seats unlike the outbound journey. I took an ojek to the newish Rumberpon Hotel where I spent most of the day catching up on blogs, bills and enjoying the clean white sheets, aircon and warm water shower.
Oh, did I mention the toilet that flushes with the push of a button, rather than with a scoop and bucket? My first one in two weeks! Also had my first shave in a week 🙂
The extra time allowed to de-risk the travel plans came in handy as a time for me to recharge myself. I had two yummy meals (lunch and dinner) in a tiny place opposite Bank Mandiri around the corner.
