We flew to Singapore on Jetstar today on their NZ$99 fare (inclusive of all taxes, but excluding baggage and meals). What a cheap getaway. A steal!
They got off to a bad start when the 1125 flight was delayed by an hour … then a further half hour with very poor updates being given in the lounge. It wasn’t until on board that the pilots advised that the flight had arrived in late and there was a fix required to the PA system.
On board, Jetstar met our expectations of a budget airline. Meals were edible enough (bordering on nice), crew were courteous, seats were comfy and temperature nicely maintained through the flight. If it hadn’t been for the delay, they would have earned themselves a fan!
