We have a full social calendar today, after having yesterday free for exploring Dubai’s malls and shops. Not that there’s much we wanted to buy.
For lunch, we met Carolyn, Brad and their two children. They are from New Zealand and moved up over a year ago. They enjoy the lifestyle here and wouldn’t consider moving home for a long time.
For dinner, wet met with Kim’s new-found aunt and uncle, Joyce and Vicky. Kim’s sister had found that their father had two half-brothers and a half-sister, Joyce. They were all in India but Joyce is on a secondment in Dubai. Great to have an unusual surname “Gaitely”, isn’t it? Imagine trying to look for relatives on the internet if your surname was Smith!
