TCM 3 (Consultation)

24 December 2012

Above:  Christmas programmes on TV on the life of Jesus carry this warning. Jesus is also a prophet in Islam – which means he should not be depicted and the storyline may differ from that in the Quran.

Two days after the second treatment I felt that my middle back wasn’t too good. The benefits from the second treatment on my back wasn’t as magical as the first one on my hip.

I decided to pay the physician a third visit. He did the same pinching and cupping test and said that no blood-letting or treatment was necessary. That was a bit of a surprise as I had gathered that he was a bit blood-thirsty.

He explained that my lower back was a bit bruised and weak from Treatment #2. My middle back was compensating for that; hence the soreness and tiredness in the middle back. This is the first time any explanation from a TCM practitioner has made sense!

He prescribed me two kinds of herbal medication plus brewer’s yeast. A couple of days later, the back issues largely cleared up. But the best part was that my hip pain (with the numbness radiating down the legs) had been kept at bay even a week after the initial treatment.
