The weather took a turn today. Shortly after lunch we picked up our Avis rental car and headed to Seattle. The drive itself was under 3 hours but the border crossing took about an hour due to queues with the usual photographing and fingerprinting.
We took a detour to our motel at the character-rich University district so that Kim could buy an iPad. They would only accept credit card (but not cash) as they track card numbers to ensure no one buys more than one! You know you’ve got a good product when you have to stop people from buying them!
We put up at a Travelodge motel in the Seattle North / Edmonds area for two nights, so we can visit the Boeing factory tomorrow before returning to Vancouver.
