Getting provisions for Cocos

4 November 2016

Today was a lazy day around town. Perth is a lovely city but it wasn’t my first time. I went to the supermarket to buy some muesli to bring along to Cocos but ended up with some canned food (beans, tomatoes, tuna) to make up lunch there plus my muesli and milk. I decided that it would be worthwhile to check-in my wheelie cabin bag laden with all the provisions for my upcoming stay.

Fresh fruit in Australia is horrendously expensive. Apples, bananas, oranges seem to be about double the New Zealand prices. I made do with some apples to bring along plus some strawberries which were on special.

Woolworths had whole roasted chickens for only AUD8 but that was too much for me. I bought a quarter chicken and a salad to have over two meals.
