My AirAsia X was full but I was fine, having requested and paid for an aisle seat. We landed in Kuala Lumpur at 0700 and parked at one of the furthest gates.
Once landside, I checked if I could use the Plaza Premium lounge located landside in the shopping mall, based on my boarding pass from Xian to Kuala Lumpur. To my surprise, it was permitted.
It was the perfect opportunity, after being in China, to feast up on Malaysian Nasi Lemak in the lounge. After that, I spent a couple of hours on my laptop catching up with admin that was much overdue. I had been so busy with sightseeing and add to that, the Great Firewall of China.
A friend, Henry, was passing through KL in Terminal 1 at the same time. I popped over on the train for a catch up before continuing my train ride to the city centre.
At 1300, it was still too early to check in at the Cozy Hotel. I dropped my bag and went for a little walk and to the barber for a wet cut-throat shave. This barbershop in KL is becoming a regular experience for me.
Once in my room, I crashed briefly. Heading out later, I grabbed a late lunch and had a successful shopping trip at various places, purchasing a pair of sports shoes and some cheap but good quality cotton t-shirts.
