Bailong Elevator
We had read horror stories of people queueing for two hours to get on the Bailong Elevator. We were determined not to do that and started early, getting to the park entrance before 0700 and onto the first buses bound for Bailong.
There was actually a short elevator ride to take us to the more famous Bailong Elevator which took us to the top of the plateau of Tianzi mountain. The main elevator ride took about one minute.

Yuanjiajie
Once at the top around 0800, we found the bus which took us to Yuanjiajie which included Hallelujah Mountain. The area was made famous by the film “Avatar”.
We explored the various viewpoints of the area before coming to a rock bridge known as the First Bridge Under the Sun around 0930.
We followed the route to its end point around 1000 and explored the possibility of some other routes but decided against them.

Tianzi Mountain
We continued by minibus (rather than full-sized bus) to the Tianzi mountain area where we had a bite around 1130.
There were more viewpoints to be explored and we did exactly that before finishing at 1430. KL & M opted to do a bit more exploration whereas I returned to the hotel with E & BW.

With the ride back to the gate, we didn’t leave the park till 1530. Once out we grabbed a light lunch before resting.
We finished the day with dinner in the night market again.
