2012 Perhentian Islands: Amazing coral gardens

Our first experience of diving in the Perhentian Islands off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia was bad.  Led by a non-chalant dive master, we explored a wreck that we couldn't see, then we dived a site where there was nothing to see.  I was starting to question why people rave about the Perhentians but fortunately I did two more dives which turned me around.  Terumbu Tiga ("T3") had interesting rock formations (which allowed for swim-throughs) while the D'Lagoon had the most amazing coral garden in my living memory.
