Ayam Pongteh

Ayam pongteh, the chicken version of the nyonya Babi (pork) pongteh. Chicken stewed in soya, sambal, taucheo (fermented soya beans that tastes like Japanese miso) ... I added sweet potato instead of whie carrots (parsnips?) because it thickens the gravy.   [View photos]
