Links Some Malaysian recipes on the internet: Ayam Masak Hitam (B Malaysia). Chicken cooked in spices and black soya sauce. Ayam Percik (English). Chicken marinated in coconut and spices, then char-grilled. Babi Pongteh (English). Pork stewed in fermented soya beans (miso). Ignore the chicken in the recipe and use only pork. Nasi Lemak (English). The fragrant coconut rice for the classic breakfast combo of curry, peanuts, deep-fried anchovies (whitebait?), cucumber and sambal. Penang Laksa (B Malaysia). Very strong fishy tomyum-style laksa. I like mine garnished with pineapple, cucumber sliced ginger buds and mint. Rendang Tuk (B Malaysia). The famous dry coconut beef curry. |
